we recently told a good friend that we haven't seen in awhile that we are no longer jw's.
she is like a sister to me but is on the verge of shunning us because when she asked me why we left the org.....i told her and she didn't like what she was hearing.
she said she felt that her faith was being challenged.
Word for word, I would reply with what Aussie Oz said too. It's wishful thinking that this friend will accept any other responses after seeing how long that email was. A lot of time was given to prepare that email I'm sure.
It's obvious that you are not entitled to your new beliefs. And it is evident you haven't done enough personal study, according to her email. Why bother with any other reply?

i was scared sh*tless.
i stayed home from work for four days scared to go out of my house thinking god would strike me down by lightening if was wrong with my thoughts... i couldn't sleep at all.... but i had to take that first step... as scary as it was....
I was excited but more so scared as hell and nervous, almost like I was doing something wrong. Almost.
I got over it pretty quick though. And I did an introduction of myself. I love this place now!
